One of the most sought after paly in the market is the PPE paly. Characteristics of a PPE are deep purple, bright green skirts, and bright green slit. Now with the Hybrid PPE's, the difference is the whitish/grayish splatter in the center. A truly awesome PE morph. This is the first time I've seen this PE morph since I started collecting zoas and palys in 2005.
Love your blog bro!
ReplyDeleteI really like those Hybrid PPEs. I bought some that have white speckles on the face. I am aware that PPEs do that when they are exposed to strong lighting, but I noticed since bringing them down on the sand floor, the new sprouting babies have the sprinkles as well. Is the morph by the lighting a permanent change?
ReplyDelete- Thank you David...
ReplyDelete- dex: what I noticed with these Hybrid PPE's is the new growth also has the sprinkles, hence the "Hybrid" term I associated with them... I've seen the PPE's that developed the sprinkles as well... although the new growth don't have the sprinkles so I'm leaning towards a different strain of the same morph... probably going to confuse a lot of people that's the best way to explain this... I'll have an update after I keep them for a little while longer...
Thanks again for stopping and leaving a comment...
